When contacting us about cabooses, please keep in mind that we are not a museum or historical society. We only see them as cost effective offices or cabins that are mobile and typically well suited for non-railroad usage. We do not know the history of any of these cabooses.

Although we are offered several cabooses we seldom actually purchase these as this is not our niche. We can let you know what's available at the moment or we can give your name & number to somebody in your region who might have what you are looking for. Sometimes our vendors are willing to work directly with you while some vendors only like to deal with distributors. Be warned, there are a lot of caboose brokers out there...some are good while most are swindlers.

Here is what you should plan on paying:

$8,0000 minimum for caboose (overall fair to poor condition but still structurally good)
$1,500 minimum for trucking
$1,000 minimum for crane to offload caboose on your property

After you send us an e-mail we will look to see what equipment is available near you or if there are any reputable dealers near you. Keep in mind that cabooses do not generate enough profit for us to stay in business so please expect to wait at least 3 to 5 days before we can get back to you.

If you already have a caboose in mind that somebody else is selling, we will be happy to give you our opinion of the seller. We can also arrange to inspect the caboose for you. It might be cost effective if one of our inspectors happens to be near your caboose as we have several inspectors across North America inspecting our freight cars.
